Terms and Conditions

  1. These terms and conditions apply to Maison de Chocolate AND Gum Paddock Country Cottage which are owned and managed by Holiday Accommodation Broken Hill.
  2. The prices shown are per room per night in AUSTRALIAN DOLLARS (AUD) and are inclusive of GST for the numbers of persons and dates selected, unless otherwise indicated.
  3. Check-in time is 2:00 pm. Early check-ins are a request only and cannot be guaranteed. Please contact us to advise your approximate ETA for check-in so that we can meet you at the property and hand you the keys.
  4. Check-out time is 10:00 am. Late check-outs are a request only and cannot be guaranteed.
  5. All guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or individual over the age of 18.
  6. Additional guests which are not listed on your booking are not permitted to sleep at the property. A late additional person charge of $100 per person will be charged if more guests are found to be staying at the property.
  7. Management has the right to refuse any booking.
  8. Management reserves the right to immediately request all guests to vacate the premise due to misconduct, excessive noise, excessive property damage, not following house rules or not adhering to terms and conditions. In addition, you will be required to settle the account prior to departure for any expense resulting from additional cleaning, replacement of any furniture/fixture/fitting breakage, as well as for any required repairs.
  9. A deposit of 20% of the total cost is required at time of booking to secure your dates. Dates will not be confirmed without a deposit payment and those dates will be open to be booked by other guests. Payment in full for your reservation is required 48 hours prior to check-in. We accept bank transfer, PayPal & cash.
  10. Car parking is available free of charge in carports at both properties. Gum Paddock Country Cottage is undercover, whilst Maison de Chocolate is open but secured by a locked roller door.
  11. Wireless internet is not currently available at either property. Please tether from your own hotspot.
  12. You have booked a self-contained accommodation and it is non-serviced.
  13. Smoking Policy – both properties are non-smoking indoors. A penalty of $350 will be charged to your account for extra cleaning and deodorising if this policy is not adhered to. Ashtrays are provided outside at both properties. A $50 fee will be charged if butts are found around the property and not in the ashtray or bin provided.
  14. Please check your booking confirmation details carefully and contact Holiday Accommodation Broken Hill immediately should any amendments be required. We will assume that your reservation is correct if you have not advised us otherwise earlier than 48 hours prior to your arrival.
  15. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations 48hours prior to day of arrival will forfeit your deposit. If you have made payment in full, you will be refunded the amount less 20% deposit as the cancellation fee.
  16. You are responsible for all charges incurred to your accommodation including damage, additional cleaning, and lost keys.
  17. Service animals are welcome at both properties. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate ‘fur babies’ at Maison de Chocolate and a penalty of up to $350 will be charged to your account for extra cleaning and deodorising if this is not adhered to. Gum Paddock Country Cottage is fully pet friendly. Please see Pet Stay Rules which form part of the terms and conditions.  
  18. Loss or Damage, Holiday Accommodation Broken Hill bears no responsibility for loss or damage to vehicles / equipment or personal belongings
  19. Unruly behaviour, any type of aggression, abuse or illegal activity will be reported to the police and you will be asked to leave the property immediately.
